I began my study of Qigong with Shibashi 1, via nearly 30 hours of private one-on-one instruction with Michael Watts. He is a certified instructor of Sifu Wing Cheung´s Shibashi 1, 2 and 3 and a qualified teacher of Tai Chi and various other Qigong Forms.

I enjoy Shibashi very much as it puts me into a deep meditative state, which has significantly improved my Capoeira. Now I am far more relaxed and flexible.

I use Shibashi on a regular basis, as a “warm up” for the students in my Capoeira instructor´s classes, and it has also become an indispensable part of my personal training; I always make sure that I practice the full form twice a day.

“I started Martial Arts when I was 9 years old, studying Brazilian Capoeira with “Mestre Carlos Xexeu”.

Nowadays, my teacher is Professor Dje who is the “Presidente de Association liberdade e expressao Cape Verde”.

I currently assist in the training of beginners in the Art of Capoeira, and am also deeply committed to a Social street project, teaching homeless young teenagers this discipline.

At the age of 16, I also began training in Western Boxing with Instuctor “Manilinho” and then a year later, trained MMA skills, via Muay Thai, Military Self Defense and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Two years later I became the Champion of my weight class (65 Kg) in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, in Mindelo, Sao Vicente, Cape Verde.
