Andrew studied Yang Style T’ai Chi and Quigong Shibashi in the mid ’90s from Supawan Green while studying Philosophy at Birmingham University. He then spent time in Thailand learning T’ai Chi from master Zhou Youbin and taking a ten day Buddhist silent retreat. Since 2000 he has taught Quigong in his home town of Barnard Castle. He is passionate about the philosophy surrounding Qigong and related arts and over the years has taken interest in many other philosophies and arts. He is a firm believer that most of our global problems are a result of ignorance to the wisdom we can gain through engagement in meditative practices like qigong and because of this is dedicated to helping people learn.
In recent years Andrew has been undergoing ongoing training with senior instructors Annie Cryar and Catherine Burnett in London and Hastings and has been awarded a Level three teachers certificate from Sifu Wing Cheung.
Andrew holds various weekly Quigong classes for absolute beginners to advanced practitioners at the Witham Barnard Castle and several themed intensive courses at The Hub in Barnard Castle throughout the year. Times and dates are published on Andrew’s website and he is also always happy to receive enquiries via e-mail.
