Nuria Vera Lorente

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 1996, and some years later I trained as an Alexander Technique teacher. Through both disciplines, my work has always focused on awareness, efficient movement, postural balance, and the relationship between body and mind.

In 2019, I began practising Qigong, and very quickly I realised it was something for which I had been searching for a long time: a daily practice that brings together mindful movement, conscious breathing, and inner awareness. Through regular practice, I experienced increased energy, a deep release of tension, greater joint flexibility, and improved muscle tone.

Soon after, I discovered Shibashi and fell completely in love with the way Sifu Wing Cheung performs and teaches it. I initially followed online courses, and in 2024, I had the opportunity to meet him in person and obtain the Shibashi Level 1 certificate. One year later, I completed the training and received the certificate to teach Shibashi Level 2. In september 2026 I attain the diploma to teach Tai Chi Qigong Level 3( Neigong)

Since 2024, I have been teaching Shibashi both in person, in weekly group classes in Murcia, and online. My teaching naturally integrates my previous training: anatomical understanding from physiotherapy, refined movement awareness from the Alexander Technique, and the energetic, flowing quality of Qigong. This allows me to guide students in a way that is safe, accessible, and deeply transformative.

I have also taught Shibashi to people with Multiple Sclerosis, with very positive results, supporting their wellbeing, balance, confidence, and overall quality of movement.

I have attended other different training courses with Sifu Wing Cheung, such as Yi Jin Jing, Tai Chi pushing hands, and Solar meditation Qigong. Currently, I collaborate in organizing Qigong Shibashi instructor training courses in Murcia taught by Sifu Wing Cheung.

In addition, I organise retreats in the mountains of southern Spain, where I combine Alexander Technique, breathing work, and Qigong. These retreats offer a space to slow down, reconnect with the body, and experience movement as a source of ease, vitality, and presence.
