As we cross the halfway mark of 2025, the intensity of the fire qi (energy) I spoke about a few years ago in this video is growing stronger by the day. It will reach its first peak by the end of next year. However, this doesn’t mean things will settle down afterward. Like all things, qi takes time to fully manifest into physical events and conditions, which I’ll explain in more detail in future newsletters. During these turbulent times, protective mantras—such as the Marici mantra or those from your own spiritual tradition—are especially important.
I was recently touched to receive heartfelt testimonials from students who have been chanting the mantras I taught in this video a few months ago. One student shared how the Medicine Buddha mantra, along with some herbal medicines, helped his mother recover from a complicated illness that Western medicine had given up on. Another recounted how the Marici mantra miraculously protected him—he felt a forceful energy push him out of the complex just moments before a major fire broke out and burned the entire building down.
To be honest, I was a little surprised that they experienced such powerful results after just a few months of chanting. As I mentioned in the video, it usually takes tens of thousands of recitations to establish even an initial connection. These outcomes suggest deep dedication with very pure hearts.
These stories reminded me of the importance of sharing real experiences. I’m currently collecting inspiring testimonials for future editions of my new book on Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi – Set 1 & 2. These personal accounts can serve as a valuable source of encouragement—especially for beginners who may not yet feel the qi or experience the benefits. In the early stages of practice, motivation is crucial to staying on the path.
If you or your students have experienced meaningful changes in your life through Shibashi Qigong, I’d love to hear your story. There are format guidelines, and selected submissions will receive a reward. For details, please visit: https://taichi18.com/story/
Lastly, a gentle reminder: early bird pricing for the upcoming workshops ends July 15.
