2022 I Ching – Ji Ji
This New Year is the Year of the Tiger, more specifically the Water Tiger. Some may not realize that every New Year is also associated with a specific hexagram of the I Ching, and that the hexagram for this New Year is #63 Ji Ji.
I spoke about this specific hexagram in an earlier newsletter, and also in some of my workshops, because it is regarded as being of importance in relation to Daoist inner alchemy practice. The top part of Ji Ji represents water, the bottom part, fire. Since water always flows downward and the energy of fire tends move in an upward direction, in inner alchemy this signifies that the 2 energies are able to meet and interact with each other in order to fulfil an important task – the creation of true inner medicine.
In relation to other aspects of existence, the Ji Ji hexagram generally signifies water’s conquest, or control, over fire – the extinguishing of fire. However, everything has a cycle, and once this task is completed, new challenges always arise. So, if you apply Ji Ji to this coming Chinese New Year, my interpretation is that it signifies, or predicts, that the current ‘pandemic’ will become ‘endemic’ – remaining permanently with us, but in a considerably milder form which most people’s natural immunity would be able to deal with.
Since Covid is an inflammatory virus, it is associated with the fire element. And this year, the hexagram suggests that the water element will be able to extinguish the fire (the Covid virus). But Ji Ji can also signify completion, which might indicate that the virus is destined to complete its cycle naturally by the summer of this year, that is exactly what happened in the case of the Spanish flu pandemic 100 years ago, which took approximately 2 to 3 years before it became an endemic. However, the Ji Ji hexagram reminds us not to let our guard down too early because as cycles and challenges come to an end, new ones inevitably arrive.
I predicted one year ago, that covid may very likely transform into something rather like seasonal flu. But until scientists can predict how the current dominant covid variant will evolve, the vaccines currently available are likely to have a hard time competing with the everchanging variants. This is similar to the manufacturing of flu vaccines whose efficacy is largely dependent upon the accuracy with which virologists are able to predict the next flu strain. So, it is very important to maintain a strong, vibrant immune system, especially so after all the restrictions are being lifted.
Free Tools to Heal Heart Inflammation and Boost Immunity
I will detail below free tools to boost your immunity and heal heart inflammation.
Even before the covid vaccines were available, most of us know people who remained entirely free of covid in spite of everyone around them testing positive. And the same applies even in the case of the highly transmissible omicron variant. It took the scientists 2 years to find out why. Their explanation is that the virus enters the body of these covid-resistant people, but is cleared by their immune systems’ T-cells the moment they become infected. Remember 2 years ago, when the virus first emerged, that I related similar reports derived from the observations of Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners and I reminded my newsletter readers about the qigong for immunity practice which has been proven to increase the number of T-cells by up to 4 times. To boost your immunity, check the written description of this qigong is available at https://taichi18.com/immune/
Even if the current pandemic finally comes to an end this year, I still foresee a lot of people having heart inflammatory issues from this pandemic, particularly related to the heart. However, in most cases, especially among those who take good care of themselves, these issues will be mild enough for the body to heal itself fully. The free Single Whip practice video I posted a few years ago can be especially helpful for treating such issues. This practice not only strengthens the heart, but it also neutralizes the heart’s excess fire. Remember I mentioned earlier that the fire element is related to inflammation? Furthermore, this single whip practice can also be used as a tool for self-diagnosis for assessing the overall health of your heart. If you feel discomfort in any of these areas (heart / left armpit / left shoulder / left upper arm) after the single whip practice, it may well indicate that your heart already has some underlying issues that need to be dealt with even if no obvious symptoms are present.
The single whip practice however is only useful for those who have opened the Lao Gong points on the palms. How to open the Lao Gong gateways? There is another free video on this page which teaches you that. You see, just the free materials alone put you in good hands already. For those who want more, we have many courses available for various levels of practice.
